Offseason Dates on Sidebar

ROSTER LIMIT INCREASE
– The pro team roster size limit will stay at 23.
– The farm team roster size limit will increase from 23 to 27 (four extra spots/players).
– This means the total limit (pro + farm) will increase from 46 to 50.
– This change will go into effect on Saturday, June 23rd.

ENTRY DRAFT
– The 2012 AFHL Entry Draft will begin on June 23rd (Saturday) which is one day after the start of the NHL Entry Draft.

FREE AGENCY
– Free Agency is now closed and will re-open on July 1st which means you cannot sign any free agents until on or after July 1st.
– Signing Free Agents between July 1st and the first game of the 2012-13 season will NOT count towards your team’s FA Signings limit for the 2012-13 season.

TRADE FREEZE
– The trade freeze is in effect until June 1st which means you cannot make any trades until on or after June 1st.

FRANCHISE FEE
– The deadline to pay your AFHL franchise fee for the 2012-13 season is June 1st. Fee can be paid via PayPal on the ‘Join AFHL’ page.

Important Dates

ENTRY DRAFT:

The 2022 AFHL Entry Draft is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 8th.

Just like in previous years, this will be an offline draft on our league message board. Each team will get 8 hours OTC. The OTC time freezes overnight. All details regarding this draft will be posted on the league message board.

TRADING:

The Trade Freeze will end on Draft Day which means all teams can begin trading again at the start of the draft.

FREE AGENCY:

Teams will not be allowed to sign any free agents until AFTER the Entry Draft is completed. Just like last year, we will have a one round Free Agency Draft based on the reverse standings from last year. After that one round then Free Agency will be a free for all.

The Amazing Fantasy Hockey League (AFHL) is a lifetime keeper fantasy hockey league that consists of 20 franchised teams, of which 10 are located in Canada, and 10 are located in the United States. The AFHL is in no way shape or form affiliated with the NHL or the NHLPA and all teams logos and players names are their property.
