RAIN CITY BITCH PIGEONS MAKE HISTORY WITH FOURTH STANLEY CUP VICTORY
Three-Peat Champs Celebrate in Style with Parade, Banner Raising & Bold Expansion Talk
Tuesday, October 7th, 2025
The champagne was still fizzing in the air as the Rain City Bitch Pigeons celebrated their fourth Stanley Cup Championship—and their third in a row—with a raucous victory parade through downtown Rain City followed by an emotional banner-raising ceremony at the Bitch Pigeons Arena just hours before the puck drop of the 2025-26 AFHL season opener.
Led by their legendary Coach/GM Jason Henley, the Bitch Pigeons have officially cemented themselves as the greatest dynasty in AFHL history. The franchise, once laughed at for its name, now demands respect as a hockey juggernaut.
“FOUR THE FINGERS” — HENLEY GETS HIS RINGS
At center ice, Henley was presented with four custom championship rings, one for each title—2019, 2023, 2024, and now 2025.
“It’s surreal,” Henley said, slipping the final ring on his pinky. “We’ve built something special here. The Pigeons play fast, play hard, and we finish what we start. But hey… one more and I’ll have a ring on every finger. That’s the goal.”
Commissioner Tony Furino, present at the ceremony, praised Henley’s dominance:
“What Jason has done here is nothing short of extraordinary. Four titles in six years? A three-peat? He’s built a dynasty. This league just got put on notice—again.”
PARADE, BANNER, AND A BOMBSHELL CHALLENGE
As thousands of fans lined the streets dressed in feathers, beak masks, and replica jerseys, the Bitch Pigeons rode through on championship floats blasting Foghat’s Slow Ride and tossing rubber rats to the crowd (a nod to last season’s playoff superstition).
But it was Henley’s speech at the banner ceremony that sent shockwaves through the league.
“I’ve done it with this squad, but maybe it’s time for a new challenge. I’m proposing two expansion teams. I’ll run one. The other? I’m throwing down the gauntlet to Darryl Dobber. Come on Dobber—step into the AFHL. The water’s warm and full of rings.”
Dobber, a longtime fantasy hockey legend and analytics guru, has been courted by Furino and others for years. With Henley publicly challenging him on the league’s biggest stage, the pressure is mounting.
Furino added:
“If Henley vs. Dobber happens… it’ll be the most anticipated debut since McDavid.”
CAPTAIN MCDAVID: “THIS NEVER GETS OLD”
AFHL MVP and team captain Connor McDavid lifted the Cup in front of roaring fans, flanked by elite teammates Leon Draisaitl, Mitch Marner, and goaltending phenom Pyotr Kochetkov.
“This never gets old,” McDavid said, beaming. “Playing in Rain City, under Coach Henley, with these guys—it’s a dream. But we’re not done. There’s a fifth banner spot ready up there.”
Draisaitl, ever the competitor, chimed in with a grin:
“If Jason’s taking over an expansion team, he better not take me with him—I like winning.”
Meanwhile, Marner posted a photo on Instagram holding all four rings with the caption:
“No pigeons here. Just kings.”
BETWEEN THE PIPES
Kochetkov, Pigeons number one starting goalie, credited the team’s chemistry and Henley’s vision:
“I just stop pucks. These guys make it easy. Coach Henley… he’s a wizard. I’d go to war for that man.”
WHAT’S NEXT?
The AFHL season begins tonight, but the conversation around the league will be dominated by two questions:
1. Can anyone stop the Rain City Bitch Pigeons from making it four in a row?
2. Could Dobber finally join the league and face off against Henley in the ultimate expansion challenge?
One thing is clear: The Dynasty is far from over.
Let the season begin.
